Playing on the Cushins!

Eduardo is always looking around the house for "things" to make Ana Maria's days more exciting. This time he chose the cushin from the couch and wanted her to use it to jump on. She didn't quite get the jumping part but was falling a lot and thought that was just as much fun. She is funny...and so is Eduardo sometimes!

Look at all the WIPES!!

Tonight while I was cooking dinner I left Ana Maria in her room reading books. Well. I thought that was what she was doing...
I called her name to eat and usually she will come running or be by my side already begging for dinner! Tonight though she didn't come and I wondered what she was doing because of course, she was being so quiet. I walked in and this is what I found, WIPES!! She had taken a full wipe box and emptied the whole thing on the floor. She was still taking them out when I walked in and walked out to get the camera. You can tell from the video that I wanted to cry and laugh. It was so cute but such a mess! Now I know she knows how to open the wipe boxes and I have to keep them away from her. Another "no-no" added to the list!!

Great Date!!

I couldn't believe it when I got an e-mail last week from Shannon at http://nwamotherlode.com/ telling me that I won the GREAT DATE GIVEAWAY!! I entered the drawing thinking that I probably wouldn't win, but that I would really like to win and would try. It included a $50.00 gift certificate to Bordinos, a great restaurant that Eduardo and I had never been to, and two show tickets to see RAIN: A Tribute To The Beatles at the Walton Arts Center. It was a very special night for Eduardo and I. We enjoyed every minute of it being together!
Our good friends Elyse, Vernon and Jackson volunteered to watch Ana Maria for the night and they had so much fun together! I know Jackson and Ana Maria love each other and always have fun, but I think Vernon and Elyse might have had even more fun with her being there! They read books, ate dinner, played with "boy" toys, ate dessert and took a bath together. I'm sad I didn't get to see them interact together but Elyse got a lot of it on video and pictures. Here are a couple of the picttures from the night. Thank you again Tarver Family!!

Ana Maria is always happy reading books and I'm sure even more happy reading with her best bud Jackson!

She loved playing with Jackson's "boy" toys...we might have to buy her a drill!

They were so cute eating together!

She must be trying to all mama and papa in this picture!

Thank you so much Vernon, Elyse and Jackson for a fun night for Ana Maria!!

Here is a clip from youtube about the band we saw RAIN: A Tribute To The Beatles. You should check it out because the show was so good!

It's Growing!!

I know you are wondering..."what is growing"...it's her hair!! Her hair is growing to where I can finally put a little ponytail holder in it. She is 15 months old and I am just now able to do it succesfully, without it falling out right away. She keeps it in there for the most part and always feels to make sure it is still in there. I love that my little baby is getting to be such a big girl!!

Library

We had nothing to do this afternoon so I decided to take Ana Maria to the library. When we first moved to Arkansas I took her twice a week to their "baby bookworms" program but she was so small to appreciate it. Now, I wish I had the time to take her but it is always in the mornings when we are usually at the gym. She loved it this time though, especially since she could play on her own computer and pick out all the books she wanted! The one at home, I am always telling her she can't touch and this one she could touch all she wanted...she was in heaven! I even spent all the time she wanted reading book after book. Books are definitely her favorite toy!

Peek-A-Boo

This afternoon at lunch Ana Maria started rubbing her eyes, as if she was tired and was through eating. I took it as she wanted to play peek-a-boo and started saying it to her and showing her how I did it. She went with it and didn't stop playing! I grabbed my camera and started filming away...here is the game of peek-a-boo!

Eatin' Chips

The other night we came back from a walk before dinner and we were all starving! As I was cooking dinner I asked Eduardo to entertain her in the living room. This is what I found...eatin' chips before eatin' dinner!! I couldn't believe it!! (It really was cute and of course she was loving it!)

Lee Boy!!

This post is all about Lee! Why...because he is amazing and a miracle! He is doing so well and this week as been receiving chemo all week. We are waiting to hear whether he can go home today or tomorrow and is going to be in treatment for the next 2 weeks. I hope that you are continuing to pray for him everyday. He is so strong but can never have enough strength to fight this. We love you so much Lee! You are an inspiration and light to all of us in the world and to everyone that knows you. Keep it up Lee!! WE LOVE YOU!
*I wanted to post recent pictures that Sarah sent me from the hospital but they wouldn't work for some reason. So, I am posting pictures from when we were there in March that I didn't get to share.*

Just a couple weeks after his replacements...look how strong he looks!

Sarah and I talked him into going with his to the Childrens Museum with Ana Maria...the prize was lunch afterwards!
Look how awesome his leg looked then...I can't wait to see what is looks like now. It must be perfect!

The day we got there, Ana Maria only wanted to walk with Uncle Lee everywhere...Lee was getting his workout!

VIDEO: This is a cute video of Lee and Ana Maria rapping on the couch. This became an everyday activity together.

Wiederkehr Winery

We have been wanting to visit the wine areas around Altus since we moved here and never went. But, we did go Sunday with our friends Natalia, Andres and Santiago. Natalia's parents are visiting from Colombia so they were with us also. We had a fun time at the German-Swiss restaurant eating good friend and drinking great wine. Then we headed over to the wine tasting but by then, most of us had enough and didn't taste much. I did taste a Sangria and bought that which I can't wait to open! It was a beautiful day and the kids were able to run around and enjoy the outdoors together! (Mom and Sarah, we'll take you when you come back!!)

Chillin' in the car on the ride there...she loves my sunglasses.

Outside the restaurant

Isn't it cute how they both need the railing to hold on to...they are both so smart!
Neither one of them could get the door open, but they were both taking turns trying and then laughing!

Strawberry Picking!

Yesterday we went strawberry picking with the MOMS club. Ana Maria and I invited our friends Jackson and Elyse to come with us and we had a great time! On our way there Ana Maria and Jackson were loving sitting next to each other in their van and we also drove by the Duggar's house (you know from the TLC show??). We went to lunch at a great restaurant that Elyse recommended and then home to eat strawberries!

Park & Play Afternoon

Thursday afternoon we had the MOMS club over to our neighborhood park for a park and play afternoon. It was fun! There were about 10 moms that came with their children. We played, ate snacks, and ended the afternoon with finding the mud! Ana Maria loved it so much with her "boy" friends. The moms of the boys were impressed that I let her get dirty. Are you kidding? I love it when she plays rough and tough and Eduardo loves it when she gets dirty! He wasn't there but enjoyed the pictures and vidoes that I am posting here. Of course the clothes and shoes were ruined (I didn't know mud stained so badly)...but it was worth seeing how happy she was and excited with her friends!

Eating a snack in the shade of the slide

She became crazy and climbed into the bottom of the stroller...she thought it was hilarious!

Mudding with her boys Jacob and Jackson!

At the end she fell in the mud on accident...that was the end of the mud playing!
