Disney's Animal Kingdom Resort

Friday afternoon we arrived at Disney World!! Our first stop was checking into our resort at Animal Kingdom. We have always wanted to stay at Animal Kingdom and finally did. It was worth it plus more!! There was a lodge and also villas, we stayed in the villa section because of my parents being Disney Vacation Club owners. Our room was beautiful (I wish I had taken a picture) and so was our views of the animals outside. We drive separatly because there was too many of us for one car first of all, and plus we wanted Ana Maria to take he nap on the way their so we left first. We had my sweet cousin Shelby with us also which made the trip so much more fun!


Arriving into Disney!! The skys were so dark on our way there and it rained just about the whole time. We were worried that night at Magic Kingdom was going to be rainy but as soon as we drive into the resort, it all cleared up and never rained again!!

She slept the whole 2 1/2 hours there. This is her waking up as we were driving into the resort...the first thing she said was "Mickey Mouse"!! We have been telling her for months we were going to Mickey Mouses house. I'm sure she didn't believe us that we were actually there, or close to it!!

You could walk out onto a board walk to see the animals up close. Look at her sweet face so excited to see the animals!

When we checked in, the gave us so many pins and goodies for the kids! It was Ana Maria's first time and Shelby's Christmas present from my parents. Both were two big events to celebrate!

More animals...I think they said in that area there were 7 different species

The giraffes were so fun to watch. I think we saw about 5 of them one time all together!
