Momma Road Trip!

Ambre and I decided to take a last minute trip with the kids to Branson, just mommas and kids!! We left Friday morning and came back late Saturday afternoon. We luckily were able to find a hotel that wasn't sold out which included the indoor water park that we knew the kids would love. They did!
Our adventure began though as were driving into Branson, we spotted what we thought was a drunk driver. Ambre was driving so defensively trying to avoid her hitting us or other cars, and I was on the phone with 911. By our prayers and God watching out for our kids in the back of the car, they were able to pull her over and we saw the whole drama of her being arrested and taken off to jail. Since we were the ones that called, we had to stay for the whole scene and even write a statement of what we saw. Of course as Ambre and I are shaking and want to cry from what we just epxerienced, the kids are as loud as they can be singing and playing in the back. It didn't bother them at all to be surrounded by police cars! In the end she was taken to jail and handcuffed because she couldn't pass any of the tests they were giving her. The police told us she couldn't smell anything on her breath so it had to have been something else but something bad. We just prayed she was taken off the road and everyone was safe...

Here is the car and one of the police cars on the scene

They took her right in front of our car to do the tests, we were hoping she would not look at us!

After all that drama, we finally arrived at our hotel and got the kids ready to go to the water park. The kids loved it from the minute they touched the water! There were three kiddie slides perfect for them to go down but of course they had their favorite that we stayed at most of the time. It was also perfect for Addyson (11 months old) because she could stand and walk around in the shallow water. They had a lazy river upstairs that we used a couple of times, but I didn't get any pictures of that.

Ana Maria is so adventurous and she knew there was more to the water park than just that little slide. She wanted to try everything and we did together!!

This water was a little deeper and with a lot more people, she loved it though!

She walked right through the sprinkling water :)

After playing in the water, they all went back to take a nap at the hotel. It was so nice while Ambre and I took our chairs outside and ate salsa and chips!
When they woke up we enjoyed the beautiful weather and took them to The Landing. It was a shopping area with restaurants and a play area for the kids. We stayed until 9:00 but had to get ice cream before we left!!

I love this picture of her going up and him coming down :)

We ate dinner at Joe's Crab Shack. The kids were so well behaved and both ate fish and shrimp, plus lots of french fries!
We sat outside so they could people watch from the balcony :)

Saturday morning we woke up and Ambre went to get us Krispy Kreme! We packed the car and went straight to the water park when they opened. We were happy to have that to go to because the weather was so yucky and it never stopped raining.

Cuddling and watching cartoons! They are best friends!

The gang!!

We had the best time and it was both of our first times doing this with just mommas and kids! Everyone was so well behaved, slept good, ate good and just listened to us! We can't wait to do it again soon! Thank you Brewsters for a great momma road trip!!

MOMS Night Out!

Wednesday night for St. Patricks Day we had a moms night out with our MOMS Club. The last one I had planned was in December so we were due for one! We went to my friend Catherine's restaurant that her and her husband own downtown Dickson, Kosmos Greek Resturant. They are both Greek so it was so much fun to try all their Greek food and know it was authentic! We were spoiled rotten by Catherine and her husband while we were there and had so much fun!!
We got there at 7:30 and did not get home until 11:00 :) I stayed out much later than I ever thought I would! I did take a nap though on purpose that afternoon so I could at least keep my eyes open a little past 9:00. We stayed at the restaurant talking, eating, more eating and eating, and then walked down Dickson to see what was going on for St. Patrick's Day.
It was so busy and crowded but we wanted to just people watch as we walked by all the bars. Two of us were pregnant, I was carrying a to-go box of food, it was really cold, and we were a bunch of moms club mommas!! We really didn't belong but it was fun to see. Veronica's friend who works for Budweiser saw her and ended up giving us all free t-shirts!
It was such a fun night shared with so many of my closest friends. I can't wait for the next one next month...I already have it planned!!

Catherine, Me and Ambre...Catherine made me a green Sprite since I couldn't have green beer!

My good friends Tara and Angie :)

All of my sweet friends!! I love chatting and hanging out with all of them!!

I just noticed the name of the store we were standing in front of...that was not on purpose! Just posing on Dickson Street so we can say we were there! haha (See my to-go box!) I know I look like a big dork!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

I hope you are having just as good of a day as we are!! We went to school this morning and I had her all dressed in pink...ohhh no!! I was getting dressed and was thinking about what I was going to do this afternoon and thought about the St. Patricks Day dinner I was going to with the MOMS Club. It automatically hit me that today was the day and I needed all of us to wear green!! I quickly changed her into a green shirt, green socks and a green hairbow. She was ready for school now!
We have been home all afternoon but Eduardo is going to do something special with her tonight while I go to a moms night out with the MOMS Club. I'll tell you all about it later!!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

School

Ana Maria loves to go to school! Every Monday and Wednesday morning she wakes up and the first thing Eduardo and I tell her is that she is going to school. Immediantly she starts naming her teachers and all of her friends in the class, plus other kids that she knows are going to be there too that she'll see in chapel. Her teachers are the best and she has such a sweet class. There 3 girls (including Ana Maria) and 8 boys! She comes home everyday with art that she has done and is so proud. We hang everything in the house for her to see! She eats a snack and lunch at school that we pack together in the morning.
I walk by pretty frequently and always see her playing so nice with the kids, or reading a book. She loves books and that is what I mostly see her playing with! She is a teachers helper also and her teachers love to put her to work with them.
I feel so blessed we found Mt. Comfort church for her to go to school and learn about God. In my opinion, there isn't anything better!

Fire Station Visit

Last week I arranged again for the MOMS Club to visit the fire station, this time the Fayetteville fire station. It was such a fun experience for the kids and Ana Maria lived every minute of it. After she woke up from her nap, she knew that was where we were going and was so excited! She was less afraid this time of getting in the truck which made me so happy. She climbed right in like a big girl with the help from the fireman.
We were given a tour through the whole station, which included their kitchen, living room and bed area. At the end the firemen all slid down the fire pole and let the kids watch. They were all given coloring books, fire hats and stickers. We love the fire station!

Mama and sweet girl at the end :)

I don't know why her hands were in her pants...I think she thought it was the pocket! haha

Paying attention...

All the older little girls love Ana Maria and want to always hold her hand and be her little mama, I love it! At one point I even heard two of the girls say, I want to be with Ana Maria and hold her hand!
The firmen sliding down the pole.
On our way to the fire station...she always holds a baby in the car!

Another collage I made :) I'm in a rush to get to the gym or I would have made more!

Brushing Teeth

Ana Maria has really gotten good at brushing her teeth and allowing Eduardo and I to help her. It is part of our bedtime routine now and she really enjoys it. If we forget, she always reminds us! I love her little teeth!!

Razorback Basketball

We finally went to our first basketball game for the year...the last one! It has just been so cold and the games are always so late at night to bring Ana Maria. Ana Maria loved it, as always! We had great seats, even better than ours, because we used coach's tickets and got to walk down to the court and see "Woo". She ate apples the whole time, had a blast and then we went to eat downtown for a fun family day!
Her first ponytail!!
Look what I made...I am so proud!! Thank you Kristi for showing me how to do this!!
