1st Visit to the Dentist

This morning Ana Maria experienced her 1st visit to the dentist! Since she is turning to next week, we thought it would be fun for her to go and experience it. We talked about it all morning and she was so excited when we got there. The office was an underwater theme so there was a lot to look at while we waited. As soon as the hygienist called her name back, she ran right to her so happy. Then she asked her to get in the big chair and wear a "blanket" so she could get x-rays. This is when she started to break loose! I had to sit on the chair with her in my lap in order for them to get the x-ray. She didn't want the piece they have to put in your mouth either. We were able to get it though within a second once she cooperated and there are no cavities!
The next chair was the dentist chair, you know the one you have to lay back in. They had TVs on the ceiling so she could watch, but she was so worried about what the lady was going to do. All she did was brush her teeth with fluoride and take a look. The dentist came next and said everything looked great. She still has to get her 4 molars in the back but she has everything else! It was such a good experience for her and of course she walked away with several prizes for being such a good girl. I strongly recommend Pediatric Dental Associates on Joyce because of our positive experience today!

She got lots of prizes throughout the whole time we were there. It was good motivation :)
