Black Friday

This year we did not do our usual Black Friday shopping, we went on a train ride instead! We went on the Arkansas-Missouri Train from Springdale to Van Buren and it was wonderful. The train left at 8:00am so we had to be at the station at 7:30am and didn't get back until 4:30pm. It rode 2 1/2 hours and then in Van Buren we got off the train to shop and eat lunch, then got back on to head home. It was such a fun experience for all of us, especially Ana Maria! She was so excited from the moment we got on and didn't stop until we got off. She did take her nap on the way home which was good.
Shopping in Van Buren was fun. Mom and Ana Maria found several books they liked and in one antique store mom even found a Saki set she had been wanting. We ate lunch at a local favorite spot where we all mostly got hamburgers or something fried!
The time went so fast, especially with everyone entertaining Ana Maria. We had books, played cards and sang lots of songs. I hope you'll get a chance to have this memory with your family one day also. It was worth it!
