Gymnastics
Ana Maria and I went to the monthly moms club playgroup at Gymnastic Joe's last week. The last time we had gone, Ana Maria was just turning 1. This time she was almost 15 months and there was a huge difference in her playing with all of the equipment. She loved it! I can't wait to take her back again next month and hopefully in the meantime, we'll have a chance to take her with Eduardo with us. It was fun to watch her play so tough and strong! I feel so fortunate and blessed to be able to take her everyday to new and exciting adventures!

MOMS Club Garage Sale
For any locals reading this...the MOMS club is having a garage sale today and tomorrow morning starting at 7:00am in the Bridgeport neighborhood. It is benefiting Wendy Jones, a mom in the club that died from ovarian cancer a couple of months ago. Let me know if you need more information about it.

Horses!!
In our neighborhood, there is a section that always has horses in it. It is a huge field where you can always find them. Most of the time, they are not as close to the fence as you see in these pictures. So...we got lucky and had the camera to take close pictures of Ana Maria and the horses. We enjoy trying to find them on our walk every afternoon!

Joe Martin Stage Race
This weekend we went to the Joe Martin Stage Race in Fayetteville. It was a 4 day race with hundreds of cyclists here from all over the world. Our friend Andres (Natalia's husband) coaches, and so we were in the "in" with what was going on. It was exciting to see all of the riders and Ana Maria and Santiago had fun running around together!

Waiting for the riders to come by...

Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day! Today Eduardo and I were trying to figure out what we were doing this time last year. Ana Maria was so little, just 8 weeks old I think, and we were still trying to figure out parenthood, especially how we celebrate "Mother's Day". Sarah was visiting us to help with Ana Maria, we went to church and out to eat and that was it. Anything more than that, we thought at the time would have been too much for the baby!!
Now...this year we celebrated!! She is now 14 months and we feel like we can do so much more with her and without her. Eduardo and our friend Andres planned a night for Natalia and I to go out. Natalia and I were in charge of arranging the babysitters, and the guys did the rest.
It was the first time we left Ana Maria with a "real" babysitter so we had her come around 8:30, help with bath and I put her to sleep. The babysitter had it easy because luckily, she never woke up. We were out all night dancing and having fun downtown. It was a first for us since she was born and a first for our friends that went with us. We don't plan to do it all the time, but want to do it again soon! It was a fun Mother's Day night planned by the guys!!

Having so much fun together dancing and talking!
