We have a new car!

We have a new car in the family...Ana Maria's! Isn't she starting young?? I remember having this car as a kid (doesn't every kid have one?) and we found it for $4.00 at a garage sale this weekend. Ana Maria immediantly opened the door and got it in and Eduardo handed the woman the money. She loves it and wants to ride all the time! She knows how to get in and out by herself but hasn't learned to pedal yet. She does like it though when you push her and she puts her feet up. She even has her own parking spot on the side of the house! :)

MOMS Club

Last week we had our monthly MOMS club meeting and guess what?? I was elected PRESIDENT! I am so excited and thrilled to be a part of such a great club where kids and moms come together every week, sometimes everyday to support and have fun with one another. Since moving to Fayetteville, this group has been wonderful to Ana Maria and I. This is the start of where we met so many of our good friends. Almost one year ago, we moved here not knowing anyone and know we have a great group of people we can call friends!

There are a lot of mom groups out there, but nothing like the official MOMS Club International. It requires a yearly dues but includes so much and has an official board. Here is the link if you are reading and want more information about one in your city...http://www.momsclub.org/.

These pictures I took on our way home from the park, where we had the meeting at. It was SO hot outside (almost 100') but she was a trooper and loved it with all the other kids playing. She was dirty and went straight to a cool bath when we got home :)

VIDEO: This is Corinna's dog, another MOMS club member. Ana Maria loves dogs and will now tell you what the dog says. In this video though she is more interested in walking the doggie!

Helping Mama

This little girl loves to help me! Anytime I say "do you want to help mama?" she comes running!

She helps me: (just to name a few)

-empty the dishwasher,

-hands me the clothes to go in the washing machine,

-I hand them to her and she puts them in the dryer,

-she always closes the doors in the house, plus the refrigerator door and the dryer door,

-cleans the floor with a wipe :),

-clean up the toys in the bathtub and the living room floor.

She is amazing!! I feel like I always have a shadow following me around the house, I suppose I really do and it's a great thing...more than anything, a great feeling! When we are home together she is a big helper!

Extra Prayers for Lee

I feel like I can't get this out fast enough...
Mom just called and said that Lee was not able to give chemo again today, this time because of his mouth sores. They wanted him to go back home and rest with a prescription because they are so bad. This makes me want to cry so hard and even more be there with him in his pain. We will be there soon, July 7th we are leaving.
I ask for your extra prayers this week that the sores clear up fast and that he is in no more pain. I know so many of our friends and family read this blog, that's why I put this information on here. Hoping that it will help. I promise to keep you more updated. They want him to go back Tuesday to start. Let's hope he can get another week done then! Thank you to everyone and for my family for being there for him. He needs us know more than ever!!
WE LOVE YOU LEE!

Playdate with Owen!

Ana Maria had the best playdate of her life with Owen this week. He came over to give Amber a chance to get caught up at home, and we loved it! They played SO great together, shared everything and ate lots of snacks and dinner. The pictures show what a great day we had and the videos are even better! Ana Maria is a real social butterfly and loves to play with other kids. It was fun for everyone!!

The tennis balls and babies are always a hit!

Eating lots of snacks together...they would take turns asking for more!

I found them in the chair together like this and then....

I told them to say "cheese" and they both looked at eachother and smiled!

Even Owen likes Ana Maria's necklaces :)

They loved going in the pool...

They even rode a motorcycle together!

All they needed in this scene was a candle in the middle of the table!
(Ana Maria's 1st dinner date!)

Vacation Bible School

Ana Maria was invited to Vacation Bible School last week at our friends Autumn and Bonnie's church- Mount Comfort Church of Christ. They had a class for Ana Maria and we were so excited for her to go! She loved every minute of it and every night when I picked her up the teachers said what a fun personality she had and one even used the word "bubbly!" She never cried when we walked into the classroom and I dropped her off, and really didn't want to leave when I picked her up too!
The fun part for me was being able to catch up and talk to my good friends Bonnie, Autumn and Tara while the kids were in class. Thank you girls for the invitation!

They put all the little ones in the buggy to go see a horse that was brought for them to see.

Look at her face when she saw the horse!

She loved sitting in the buggy!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Eduardo!
Thank you for being a WONDERFUL father to Ana Maria. So caring, energetic, and fun! You are the reason she is so happy everday with a huge smile on her face everytime she sees you. I can't express enough how important you are in her life and how much she looks forward to playing and being with you everyday. Thank you for always working so hard so I can stay home with her. One day she will realize what are you are doing for her!
WE LOVE YOU!

Kansas City

Eduardo went on a recruiting trip to Kansas City last weekend and so we got to tag along. It was a lot of fun and a great city to visit. We didn't do much outside of the tennis courts because it was located inside "The Plaza" and there was no need to go anywhere else. It was amazing! Ana Maria and I walked around the shops and restaurants while Eduardo was at the courts. Our hotel was within walking distance to eveywhere which was even better for naps and early morning walks in the park across the street. Thank you Eduardo for bringing us with you!
*She said a new word on the trip...AGUA (for water)! It is in the last video!

She loves her new sunglasses from grandmom!

The drive to Kansas City was beautiful :)

A street in "The Plaza".
It was just her and I walking around so I made her pose in the picture for me!

Playing in the fountain at the Cheesecake Factory

She wasn't too sure about standing on the wall...

I was a little nervous taking this picture, but I think she was even more so I knew she wouldn't move anywhere!

The Plaza was beautiful and great weather

Heading to the tennis courts from the hotel

So many fountains to look at!

Eduardo found a HOG!!

Of course he had to get his picture taken next to it for coach :)

Saturday morning we walked in the park across the street which was beautiful

I told her to look at me and she looked at my feet!

She walked almost 1 mile that morning :)
VIDEOS...be prepared: They are SO CUTE!!

Softball Stadium

The University of Arkansas had an end of the year kickball game and party at the softball complex for all of the coaches and staff. It was a lot of fun for us and Eduardo's "black shirt" kickball team won! Most of all, Ana Maria got to hang out with one of her best buds Theo. He is the son of another coach who we see all the time. Eduardo hopes maybe 18 years from now, she might be down on the field again playing softball for UA. It's a great sport!

Really far on the field...just running bases!

It was hard to keep up with her!

They found an ice pile when we were leaving...
Directly into the mouth it went!

It was so hot outside and they loved playing in the ice :)

Car Washing

Ana Maria had her first experience at helping mama wash the car. We wasn't much of a "help" but loved to put the soapy water back on the car after I would spray it off and rubbed with a towel to help me dry. At the end she was more interested in the snacks and water! Yeah, now I have a clean car!!

Prayers for Lee

I know I don't update all the time but Mom just called and said that instead of Lee receiving chemo today, like he was suppose to every Tuesday, he has to get a blood transfusion because his blood levels were too low. Please pray for Lee. His levels need to go back up so hopefully he can recieve chemo Friday and not be too far behind. We will know more on Thursday when he gives blood again and they make a decision about what to do next.
He has done so well and is so strong. I don't want this to get him down or get him behind. We're planning a trip for everyone to come to Arkansas for vacation when he is done.
Please pray for Lee!

AJ (my cousin), Eduardo, Dad, Chris and Uncle John with Lee at his 1st shaving party in December. We love you Lee!

Dancin' in the Car!

It seems like Ana Maria is singing all the time now. We're not sure what it is exactly, but to us it seems like singing! I was in the car with Laura Sofia (my niece) on the way home from the track meet and Ana Maria was belting it out, as well as dancing with her head. Laura Sofia videotaped part of it...here it is!

Fayetteville Farmer's Market

Saturday morning we went to the Fayetteville Farmer's Market downtown. Eduardo and I have been before with Ana Maria, but it was fun to take them. Laura Sofia bought a little souvenir while the rest of just just people watched and looked at all the beautiful flowers and vegetables. It was a fun morning together!
